Those of you who’ve been taking my Zoom tai chi classes know that I have been rearranging my living room each time I teach: moving the coffee table away from the sofa, setting up screens in front of sofa, arranging laptop on mantel and connecting it to the TV set, etc. It has become part of my tai chi warm-ups but is annoying in some ways and means my partner has to vacate the room too.
But now I have a new dedicated space! The Green Studio is in the upstairs guestroom of my house. All I have to do is walk in, connect laptop to new widescreen TV, turn on electric heater and lights and enjoy teaching in a much more agreeable place. The wide-plank floor shows it’s age, with some unevenness, but that’s no problem–it just means more emphasis on careful foot placement, which really is part of all tai chi.
I look forward to having you join me for Green Studio tai chi sessions–we so some qigong too. Both those who’ve already taken classes with me and folks new to tai chi are welcome to participate. The schedule and Zoom links are on the “classes” page of this website. Make sure I can see you well when you join in. I really can’t teach folks if I can’t see them (well, yeah!).

Hi Anne – I am going to try standing with support of my walking bike… Not sure how you will be observing my feet…but worth a try..

I can see you abandoned the bike about half way through class–it must have been challenging. And of course, I can’t see your feet when you’re on the bike or when you’re seated. But I trust that you are being careful, safe, and not overdoing.
