A trip into Spanish

Traveling to another country is such a great opportunity to expand your sense of the world and its varieties. Over there, wherever there may be, people’s customs, foods, language, the architecture and natural world around them open up for you. And even things that make you somewhat uncomfortable offer the chance to grow.

But sometimes you can’t travel. At least not physically.

I’ll be spending the next five days taking an intensive Spanish course through Dartmouth’s Rassias program. It’s online with small groups, lots of drilling, lots of info, but physically my world will stay the same.

By the end of this Friday I still expect to be changed–to see, hear, and understand the world in a new way. Wish me luck on my travel–buena suerte!!

  1. Travel well, dear friend. Tom is now doing well, using acupuncture needles when western medicine offered neither next steps nor insight.
